Nestling on the
banks of the river Isle in the Perigord Blanc, Neuvic invites you to discover
its' secrets. Historical buildings on the fringes of the town, give us an
insight into the rural past. While Neuvic Chateau gives us a far
more affluent feel for the bygone era. The chateau
also boasts a really
beautiful Arboretum, which is well worth visiting.
The surrounding countryside, and the nearby Foret de Double, allows
plenty of room for walking cycling and equestrian activities. If
you are a little more sport minded, with petanque, tennis, fishing,
a swimming pool, electric boats and canoeing Neuvic really
has something for everyone.
Local producers of regional delicacies often have open days
throughout the summer, with some farms and mills open daily.
Why not visit a local artist, a craft centre or pottery.
Neuvic market days are Tuesday and Saturday, with fresh local
produce.
Neuvic town also offers a supermarket, butchers, a
bank, bakers, chemists several very nice restaurants and a bar, and
most importantly a hand made chocolate shop!
